SWYSC and the entire South Whidbey soccer community were saddened to hear of the passing our long-time friend and referee, Dave Walden. It is likely that every child in the South Whidbey soccer program over the past 10-15 years has played under Dave’s watchful gaze and whistle. And an entire generation of youth referees became more confident and skilled at their craft as a result of Dave’s mentorship. We will be forever grateful for Dave’s contribution to our soccer community.

There will be a memorial event for Dave at the Holmes Harbor Rod and Gun Club on Saturday, December 18^th from 2-6 PM.
